  • Visitors and users of the websites, portals, mobile applications, and pages owned or operated by Palo that do not have a separate privacy policy (collectively, the “Palo Sites” or “Sites”), and
  • Our business contacts.

This Privacy Policy does not apply where a different privacy policy is expressly provided or where Personal Information is collected through third-party job boards or marketing tools governed by their own policies.

On the Palo Sites, we respect the privacy and confidentiality of your information, particularly your Personal Information. “Personal Information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. Personal Information does not include information that is publicly available or that has been anonymized.

Overview

Although we or our service providers may collect certain information from you as described below, the following principles apply:

  • We will not disclose the Personal Information you provide through the Palo Sites except as described in this Privacy Policy.
  • We will give you the opportunity to access and correct your Personal Information as required by applicable law.

1. Visitors to the Palo Sites

We may collect the following categories of Personal Information about visitors to our Sites:

We collect and process this Personal Information based on our legitimate business interests and, where required, your consent. Through disclosure to our service providers and advertising partners, Palo may use Personal Information collected from website users to:

  • Tailor your experience on the Sites, including recognizing you, personalizing content, and showing you offers or information we believe may interest you

2. Business Contacts

If we receive your Personal Information as part of a business interaction or event (for example, via business cards, email introductions, conferences, or other professional engagements), we may use that information to maintain and manage our business relationship with you.

We do not sell or share the personal information of our business contacts as those terms are defined under applicable state laws. Residents of states with specific privacy rights should review the “Your State Privacy Rights” section below for details.

Cookies and Tracking Tools

We may use various technologies to automatically collect information about you, your device, your browsing patterns, and how you use the Palo Sites. This supports site functionality, security, analytics, and marketing.

  • Date, time, and length of visits

Information collected through tracking tools may be transmitted to third-party providers who help us with analytics, advertising, site performance, and similar functions.

Palo may use session and persistent cookies:

  • Session cookies enable transactions and measure page visits. They are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device and help us recognize returning visitors and track preferences.

Third-party cookies may be used for analytics, advertising, and market research, including to understand demographics, behavior, or spending patterns and to deliver more relevant advertising.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies. You may be able to disable cookies in your browser’s settings; however, disabling cookies may interfere with the functionality of the Palo Sites, and some services may not be available or may not work properly (including services that require sign-in).

We, our service providers, and our partners may use cookies and other tracking tools to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites.

Because data is collected automatically using these tools, we do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals. We are working toward enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) as an additional mechanism for opt-out preferences where required by law.

Data Security

Security matters. Palo and its service providers use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.

Measures include:

  • Secure transmission of information from your device to our servers where applicable
  • Access controls that limit Personal Information to authorized personnel
  • Industry-standard safeguards where technically and commercially reasonable

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. You understand and accept that:

  • No data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure
  • You provide Personal Information at your own risk
  • Palo will not be liable if a third party illegally obtains your Personal Information, to the extent permitted by law

If a breach of our systems occurs and applicable law requires notification, we will provide such notice.

Minors

Palo does not knowingly offer or sell products or services for children and does not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 18 years of age.

If you are under 18, you must not use the Palo Sites or provide us with any identifying information.

If you believe we may have collected Personal Information from a minor, you or the minor’s parent/guardian may ask us to remove that information by contacting us at contact@palohealthcare.com.

Third-Party Content and Websites

The Palo Sites may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of those third-party sites. You should review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit to understand how they handle your Personal Information.

Your Choices About Your Information

Opting Out of Marketing

If you object to our use of your Personal Information for marketing or similar purposes, you can opt out at any time by:

  • Using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails.

Residents of certain states (listed below) may have additional rights with respect to Personal Information.

Your State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, state law may provide you with additional rights regarding your Personal Information.

Clearing your cookies may reset or remove stored preference signals.

We do not use or disclose Sensitive Personal Information for purposes beyond those permitted under applicable California law.

Opt-Out Preference Signals:

We are working toward enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) as an additional means to submit opt-out requests via supported browsers or extensions. Until then, you can opt out by adjusting your browser settings or contacting us as described above.

California’s “Shine the Light” law allows California residents to request, once per calendar year, information about any of your Personal Information we have shared with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, if any. To request this information, contact us as described in the “Contact Us” section below.

We do not discriminate against California residents who exercise their privacy rights.

2. Privacy Rights for Residents of

Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, and Virginia;
Montana (effective October 1, 2024);

We will not reduce the price or quality of our products or services solely because you exercise your privacy rights.

3. Privacy Rights for Residents of Utah and Iowa (Iowa effective January 1, 2025)

Residents of these states may have some or all of the following rights:

  • The right to confirm whether we process your Personal Information and access such Personal Information.
  • The right to delete Personal Information we have about you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • The right to opt out of:
    • Targeted advertising
    • Sale of Personal Information
  • The right to obtain a portable copy of Personal Information you previously provided to us, to the extent technically feasible.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as needed or permitted given the purposes for which it was collected. Factors that influence our retention periods include:

  • The length of time we maintain an ongoing relationship with you or our customers
  • Legal obligations to which we are subject (e.g., record-keeping requirements)
  • Whether retention is advisable in light of statutes of limitation, litigation, or regulatory investigations

When Personal Information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it, subject to legal retention requirements.

Palo reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Palo Sites after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, as allowed by applicable law.
